“Bad Girls of the Bible”-Liz Curtis Higgs: Teresa Pulley and Dawn Barnett

Day: First Sunday of the month                                               Time: 6:00pm

Meets at Teresa Pulley’s house.

Women everywhere marvel at those “good girls” in Scripture–Sarah, Mary, Esther–but on most days, that’s not who they see when they look in the mirror. Most women (if they’re honest) see the selfishness of Sapphira or the deception of Delilah. They catch of glimpse of Jezebel’s take-charge pride or Eve’s disastrous disobedience. Like Bathsheba, Herodias, and the rest, today’s modern woman is surrounded by temptations, exhausted by the demands of daily living, and burdened by her own desires.

So what’s a good girl to do? Learn from their lives, says beloved Bible study teacher and speaker Liz Curtis Higgs, and choose a better path. Whether they were “Bad to the Bone,” “Bad for a Season, but Not Forever” or only “Bad for a Moment,” these infamous sisters show women how not to handle the challenges of life.
With her trademark humor and encouragement, Higgs combines a contemporary retelling of the stories of these “other women” in Scripture with a solid, verse-by-verse study to teach us how to avoid their tragic mistakes and joyfully embrace grace.
Let these Bad Girls show you why studying the Bible has never been more fun! SIGN UP HERE

“Spirit Soul and Body” by Andrew Wommack: Martha Graves

Day: Wednesday.              Time of day: Evening

Meets at New Life.        Child Care: Yes

Have you ever asked yourself what changed when you were “born again”? You look in the mirror and see the same reflection—your body hasn’t changed. You find yourself acting the same and yielding to those same old temptations—that didn’t seem to change either. So you wonder, Has anything really changed?

The correct answer to that question is foundational for receiving from God. If you lack this basic understanding, you’ll forever ask yourself doubt-filled questions like: “How could God love somebody like me?” and “How can I possibly expect to receive anything from the Lord? I don’t deserve it, I’m not good enough!”

Spirit, Soul & Body will help you eliminate those and other doubt-filled questions that destroy your faith. If you have trouble receiving from God, this is a must-read! Books $15.00 SIGN UP HERE

Job said, “I have heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you.” (Job 42:5 NKJ) The goal of this study is to discover, as Job did, the difference between man’s religion and God’s Truth. We too want to know God, not just know about Him.

This study on the book of Job is based on material written by the late Pastor Meredith Wilfong, Th.D., and expected to last the entire semester. There are no books, but an outline will be handed out each week at no cost.
