Mitch McVicker Concert
August 14 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Mitch McVicker is a traveling, concert-giving, and recording musician. He started out by traveling, writing songs, doing concerts, and being roommates with the late great, Rich Mullins. He and Rich wrote a song together, “My Deliver,” that won a Dove Award for Song of the Year. Mitch was in the car wreck that killed Rich. His recovery was touch-and-go and very extensive, lasting years. Through that event, Mitc
h has come to experience God in a big way. He tries to communicate this in the concerts he is now able to do. Since recovering from the accident, he has done over 2100 concerts, been to 49 states and 13 countries, and recorded 10 full-length albums, 2 EPs, and 2 live concert DVDs. Mitch’s newest album, A Shrugging of the Shoulders, was released June 12, 2021. His concerts are very artistic as he plays on an acoustic guitar, nylon string guitar, banjo, ukulele, electric guitar, Cajon box drum, and makes percussion loops from “junk” (various household items such as children’s toys). Everything is set up next to him on the stage making it look a bit like a garage sale. Come join us August 14, 2021 at 7 PM at New Life for a free concert and experience you won’t want to miss!
